Brad's Story

Brad was the kind of person who led with quiet strength, steady purpose, and a heart full of kindness. He believed in working hard, showing up for people, and always looking for the good—even when life got tough. His favorite saying was “Mind Over Matter”—and he lived it every single day.

Brad grew up in Wisconsin and built a life in Ashland with his best friend and wife, Jessica. They met on the first day of middle school and spent 27 years together—17 of them married. Their love was rooted in deep connection, shared values, and plenty of laughter.

For more than 16 years, Brad ran his own construction business. He was known for doing things the right way—with honesty, craftsmanship, and respect for everyone he worked with. But he wasn’t just a builder of homes—he was a builder of people, teams, and communities. He thrived on giving but also receiving and seeking mentorship.

Brad poured his heart into youth sports, volunteering with the Ashland Youth Hockey Association and Little League. He had a soft spot for kids who needed encouragement and believed in giving them a chance to grow, lead, and believe in themselves.

Outdoors was Brad’s happy place—whether he was hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, or just spending time at the lake with friends and family. He loved cooking, gathering people together, and making everyday moments meaningful.

When Brad passed away in August 2024 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, his loss was felt deeply. But the impact he made didn’t end there. Brad’s legacy lives on in the people he lifted, the values he stood for, and the love he left behind.

The Lift and Lead Brad Campbell Legacy Foundation was created to honor that legacy—supporting youth, families, and communities in ways Brad would’ve believed in wholeheartedly. If you knew him, you already understand. If you didn’t, we hope this gives you a glimpse of the kind of man Brad was—and why continuing his mission means so much.

Mind over matter. That was Brad. And that’s the spirit we carry forward.
